On XXXX XXXX, 2017 I called to place a stop payment on a check with Bank of America. On XXXX XXXX, 2017, I see the check posted, when I spoke with Bank of America customer service, they advised me that the stop was on my account correctly and XXXX XXXX put the check through a few times. The first time Bank of America stopped it but when the bank took out the check number it went through electronically and they can not do anything about that. First, I was never told over the phone or by the letter they sent to me about the stop payment did it say that if a bank puts the check through electronically it will still process. Second, when XXXX XXXX first put the check through and Bank of America stopped it then the same bank put the same amount, made out to the same person through a second time, they let it go through then. It seems very deceptive on Bank of America side, they should have stopped it for both.
