I open the Citibank checking account back to XX/XX/XXXX because Citibank has a promotion.
it state that to qualify for a XXXX cash bonus, open a new consumer checking account in the Citibank account package by XX/XX/XXXX Within 30 days from the date you opened your new checking account, deposit XXXX or more in a new to Citibank fund into your new checking or new or existing Citibank saving plus account.
A minimum balance of XXXX is required to be maintained in the new checking account or new or existing Citibank savings plus account for XXXX consecutive calendar days following the date you made your qualifying deposit.
The bonus will be received 90 days from the date of the qualifying transactions.
on XX/XX/XXXX, I went to the branch to see what happen with my XXXX bonus, the branch told me she will send the claim to the customer service but it will take 48 hours to response to me. I kept waiting for the answer. Finally i got the response on XX/XX/XXXX it said my account has meet the requirement to receive the incentive for the amount of XXXX.
I assume I should get it by XX/XX/XXXX. I called the customer service on XX/XX/XXXX to follow up my case, they told me I better go the branch to find out what ‘s going on with Bouns since i opened the account there. XX/XX/XXXX, I went to the branch, the branch made the phone to trace my bonus. Again, they told me It takes 5-7 days to process my bonus Up to date XX/XX/XXXX. I still have n’t seen the XXXX bonus in my checking account. I feel so frustrated the way CITIbank they handle the case. I thought Citibank should be honor what they promise on the promotion. It seems like a scam, why they keep delaying the payment.
