After 10+ years of banking at Wells Fargo they closed my account due to a ” business decision ”. Meaning, a relative gave me a check and it bounced because she did n’t have enough money in the account and they had to return the check, so they charged me {$12.00} and closed my account. They never gave me any warning or alerted me. I was told in the branch they would send me a letter explaining everything and a letter was never received. Additionally, they will not allow me to access the money in the account, which I desperately need to pay bills, causing over {$200.00} in late payment charges. After calling multiple times and being transferred over XXXX times to different departments I never got an answer. After closing my checking account and freezing my money they subsequently closed my credit card causing multiple declined purchases.
