Communication tactics

In XX/XX/XXXX, my private loan held with XXXX XXXX XXXX was passed off to a debt collection agency due to me not being able to afford the expensive amount XXXX XXXX XXXX wanted all at once.
In XXXX XXXX, I joined with a company by the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX and I was under the impression that my loan was receiving the XXXX that I was paying them a month.
XXXX XXXX XXXX turned out to be a scan as well.
I then reached out to XXXX XXXX XXXX and they made me aware that my loan was now in the hands of Patenaude and Felix.
Patenaude and Felix is the company in which I would file this complaint with ; I was in communication with them before they were ever in communication with me in regards to my loan. I began talking with them XX/XX/XXXX consistently trying to negotiate an amount that would be affordable for me to pay every month. I originally thought XXXX would be affordable but after discussing with my husband what amount would be best every month, we discovered that XXXX per month is too much. I spoke with Patenaude and Felix making them aware of this and they have been very adamant that I MUST pay XXXX per month, Meanwhile, I have been concerned about the derogatory marks on the credit reports of my grandparents ( my co signers ) and have been trying to find out what to do and where to go. XXXX XXXX XXXX advised me that the attorneys and XXXX XXXX are the people to discuss payment options as well as credit reporting and all to find out that XXXX is XXXX XXXX XXXX and when I call them, they tell me that they are unable to help me.
I am aware that this debt NEEDS to be paid and I want to pay it but I CAN NOT afford XXXX per month. I was told that I could make ” good faith ” payments toward the amount owed, but it would not be reflected on the credit reports of my grandparents not myself. I was also told by either XXXX XXXX XXXX on Patenaude and Felix that my wages could be garnished as a result of not paying my debt. However, I am NOT ignoring my debt! I just cant afford the amount that is being dictated to me.
