Deposits and withdrawals

On XXXX XXXX, 2015, my father, XXXX XXXX XXXX, wrote me a check for {$2500.00} from his XXXX money market account. On the same day, I deposited the check in my Wells Fargo account at the ATM XXXX located XXXX Alabama XXXX.

On Monday morning, XXXX/XXXX/15, I phoned Wells Fargo to inquire as to when the funds would be made available, and Wells Fargo ‘s representative told me that the deposited funds would be made available on Tuesday XXXX XXXX/XXXX/15 ) at XXXX. Tuesday, XXXX/XXXX/15, only {$200.00} of the funds were made available to me.
I phoned Wells Fargo again to inquire as to why this was happening, and I was told that the funds would not be deposited until XXXX XXXX, 2015.
When I banked with XXXX Bank, my father wrote me checks from his same XXXX account, and there were never any issues – the funds cleared in the standard two business days ‘ time.
I find it highly suspicious that Wells Fargo is holding these funds ; and I know my father to not write bad checks. Personally, I think Wells Fargo ‘s business practices need to be investigated. I have also contacted an attorney.
