To Whom It May Concern:

I entered an agreement for debt collection with True Accord on XX/XX/XXXX to pay my debt owed to XXXX XXXX XXXX . I agreed to a discounted, two-payment option, to be withdrawn from my bank account on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX . The agreement, for approximately XXXX per payment, did note I could pay off the debt early, if I chose to do so. (Email attached.)

I was eager to improve my credit. I attempted to make a second payment to close the account on XX/XX/XXXX . Instead of charging me the agreed-to second payment, True Accord debited my bank account for XXXX , which is what was due if I had made a one-payment arrangement.

I wont even get into the fact this could be a piece of failed computer code that could affect hundreds of True Accord customers, apart from myself. And that it would be in True Accords own interest to fix such a potential problem for other customers.

True Accord has no weekend support. Nor any sufficient online complaint process.

I immediately called on Monday morning to inform True Accord of its mistake, asking if I could take the one-payment term because the amount withdrawn on XX/XX/XXXX was equal to a one-payment agreement. And, of course, because the amount withdrawn had resulted in three XXXX overdrafts and a returned XXXX p ayment to a separate credit card account.

On the positive side, the account was cleared with XXXX that day. That led to my credit score going up XXXX points, day over day, due to clearing my XXXX XXXX debt.

True Accord refused to treat the XXXX d ebit as a one-time payment and refund t he XXXX payment I made on XX/XX/XXXX . True Accord offered a XXXX r efund, which I agreed to accept because I had no other option. I told True Accord I would report them to the local BBB for their failure to provide proper computer coding to make correct debits.

The XXXX w as refunded to my account two days later. What I did discover, however, is that True Accord had reported my payment to XXXX , but then that credit dropped off my report the following day, after I threatened to complain.

Whether this rescinded credit was due to my threat to make a BBB report is unconfirmed, but it has resulted in my credit being docked XXXX points.

I think refusing to adjustment payments despite its mistake makes True Accord jerks . But rescinding a credit report correction, if it occurred, is unethical and unconscionable. I would like to be made financially whole for the mistake made by True Accord.

I am reporting this to all relevant agencies: OCCC and AG in Texas, the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau, plus XXXX XXXX , True Accord and the BBB in XXXX XXXX , plus XXXX , XXXX and XXXX and my bank.
