I received a Collection Notice in the mail for an amount of {$3500.00} from Phoenix Financial Services LLC dba Indiana XXXX XXXX XXXX . Phoenix said they were contracted by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX . Phoenix assigned an Account # XXXX . They offered in their letter to provide a discounted settlement of {$2500.00}. There is no reference to where this originated and prior to this I have never seen a bill from a Hospital or ER for any type of Services this size. Also, I have had insurance for years and again have never seen a bill for anything this size. I am building a new home and working with my Mortgage Company, XXXX . I had a low credit score from XXXX and when I asked XXXX what was being shown that I owed, they referenced XXXX Account numbers from Phoenix Financial Services. Phoenix had split the {$3500.00} and showed it as XXXX derogatory reports to XXXX . XXXX for {$1000.00} and the other for the {$2500.00} which they keep adding interest too. They claimed they were making a deal with me to pay less but in fact they had split the amount into XXXX Accounts XXXX and XXXX . I believe these are false charges. My insurance would have paid any claims. I saw online that this same group o f Phoenix Financial Services a nd XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX have scammed other customers and ruined their credit to make them pay something they never owed in the first place. One customer stated ” When I received the ” original charge ” fro m Phoenix Financial Services, I found that Phoenix ha d obtained my information from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX , including my name, credit card number and social security number. I then checked my records for the XXXX / XXXX / 2013 emergency room visit and found that I had paid the {$65.00} at the time of service. The charge on my credit report was false! “. This is what I believe has happened to me. I do not owe this money. I believe that XXXX is to blame and is in this wi th Phoenix Financial. Phoenix th en split the charge XXXX gave them and reported me to XXXX and I am not sure if they have to anyone else. They created XXXX Accounts and acted like they were doing me a favor by charging me less while not notifying that they have also reported the {$1000.00} they were claiming to give me off as another delinquent charge. Should I call them? I was instructed by my Mortgage Company to contact CFPB first. This is a scam that has hurt my credit. The removal of these XXXX charges would move my Credit Score fr om XXXX to XXXX . That makes a huge difference in what I qualify for. Can you please help me! My name is XXXX XXXX . My email is XXXX XXXX XXXX and my Mobile number is ( XXXX ) XXXX .
